Alexander Ovechkin appears in footage for the film “Hockey Dads 2”
Behind-the-scenes images from the set of the upcoming sequel, “Hockey Dads 2,” have surfaced online, revealing that hockey legend Alexander Ovechkin has joined the cast.
The film features an ensemble cast including Alexey Bardukov, Mikhail Porechenkov, Yuri Chursin, Anya Chipovskaya, and Vladislav Tretiak, among others. In this installment, the protagonists and their teenage children compete in an international hockey tournament, facing off against the world’s most formidable teams.
The sequel is directed by Andrey Bulatov, who also helmed the original movie. Production for “Hockey Dads 2” is currently underway, with a theatrical release scheduled for 2027.
