Adele is set to make her film debut — the singer has been cast in a role in Tom Ford’s forthcoming movie “Cry to Heaven,” according to Deadline.
The ensemble also features Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Hunter Schafer, Paul Bettany, Owen Cooper, Kiran Hinds, Thandiwe Newton and others. The film is adapted from Anne Rice’s novel of the same name — Rice, best known for “Interview with the Vampire.” The story centers on castrato singers in 18th-century Italy.
Production will take place in Rome and London, with a release slated for autumn 2026. This will be Ford’s third feature film, following “A Single Man” and “Nocturnal Animals.”
