A Hopeful Harvest

Greetings, everyone. Somehow, another week has already slipped by us.

Once again, I am thrilled to share the latest behind-the-scenes progress from the inZOI development team. It has been an exceptionally busy week. Much of our recent focus has been dedicated to revisiting foundational systems built last year that remained somewhat unrefined. We are systematically polishing these mechanics to ensure they function seamlessly and intuitively.

Lately, we have poured significant effort into revamping the infant mechanics. Previously, infants and adults operated on entirely separate frameworks, which spawned numerous technical glitches and severely restricted how expressively babies could behave. We have successfully unified the infant framework, integrating it into the core architecture utilized by adults.

Consequently, as babies mature and transition into toddlers, they will now independently seek out available toddler beds and tuck themselves in. Once your little ones take their first steps, be sure to set up a dedicated bed for them, ensuring they enjoy deeper and much more restful sleep.

We have also introduced refinements to the genetics system and family portraits, though the overhaul of our heredity mechanics presented distinct hurdles. The root challenge lies in the differing base facial topologies of male and female Zois. To resolve this, we are actively weighing whether to consolidate these underlying datasets, which would allow inherited facial characteristics to pass down seamlessly across generations, regardless of gender.

Furthermore, vehicle pathfinding has received a major upgrade; Zois commuting by car can now navigate all the way to their final residential driveway. Alongside this, we have enhanced the smart outfit-selection system, ensuring our characters automatically slip into attire appropriate for their specific destinations.

Our roadmap for the month remains densely packed, and I occasionally worry whether we can push this upcoming patch out as swiftly as we’d prefer. Rest assured, the moment we lock down a release date, I will notify you promptly.

Here in Korea, today marks Ipchu—the traditional onset of autumn. While the calendar heralds the fading of summer, we are still enduring sweltering heat that feels dead-set on keeping the summer spirit alive.

Even so, the seasons are quietly shifting, and the crops in the fields are undoubtedly beginning to ripen. I sincerely hope that inZOI, too, weathered this intense season in robust health and continues to blossom into something truly remarkable.
