Zelda Fans Form Long Lines in Multiple Countries for Ocarina of Time
More than 500 customers attended the UK midnight launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2, according to the event’s organizers.
The remake was released on November 5, 2026, with some stores holding special overnight sales. Lines began forming several hours before stores opened. Social media posts showed crowds in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, and Canada. Video footage shows the size of the UK crowd.

The updated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time features completely reworked graphics, improved textures, faster loading, smoother performance, and updated audio with symphonic orchestral music. Link can now run and jump freely, and players can control the camera with the right stick.
Characters are fully voiced, and the day-and-night cycle continues even in towns. The remake also adds a tapestry that displays progress and lets players hum learned melodies for Link to play on the ocarina.
