Zach Cregger Names His Ideal Choice for Lady Dimitrescu Role
The director already has ideas for a sequel.
Director Zach Cregger has revealed who he would choose to play Lady Dimitrescu in the new Resident Evil movie. His ideal candidate is Christina Hendricks, known for her roles in the television series Mad Men and Good Girls:
“Christina Hendricks. I think she’s a great fit. What do you think?”

Cregger previously acknowledged that he is already considering a possible continuation of the film and sees several directions for the story to develop. However, mentioning Hendricks does not confirm that Lady Dimitrescu will appear in a potential sequel.
While working on the first picture, the director emphasized that he does not intend to retell the plots of the games. Cregger aimed to capture the tension and gameplay structure of Resident Evil by using new characters and an original story. Under this approach, Lady Dimitrescu and other familiar characters from the series might not appear in his films at all.
The new Resident Evil releases worldwide in theaters on September 18, 2026.
