‘You’ star Penn Badgley to lead mountain murder mystery series

Penn Badgley, best known for his roles in You and Gossip Girl, has been tapped to star in the upcoming series adaptation of Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone, as reported by Deadline.

The Prime Video project is based on the acclaimed novel by Australian comedian Benjamin Stevenson. The series will be helmed by Academy Award nominee David Hemingson (The Holdovers), who is set to serve as showrunner.

The narrative unfolds at an isolated ski resort during a sprawling family reunion of the Cunninghams. When a corpse is discovered in the snow, suspicion immediately turns toward Michael, who has recently been released from prison. His brother Ern—an amateur sleuth played by Badgley—takes it upon himself to investigate the crime, only to find the death toll rising rapidly.

Badgley recently wrapped production on the romantic comedy Worth Waiting For, also for Amazon.
