Wrath of Man, Starring Jason Statham and Directed by Guy Ritchie, Coming to Tubi for Free Streaming
Jason Statham’s filmography has long been a steady presence while the movie industry shifts around it. A Statham movie usually delivers a meat-and-potatoes story, plenty of action and a wry, quip-filled performance from its star. 2026 is testing that stability. Two Statham-led movies, Shelter and Mutiny, both fell short at the box office.
Action fans do have something to look forward to. One of his best movies will stream for free next month. Wrath of Man arrives on Tubi on November 1.
Wrath of Man centers on Statham’s character “H,” a mysterious man who takes a job as an armored truck guard. During one run, robbers hold up the truck until H skillfully shoots all of them. In another attempted robbery, the thieves flee at the sight of him, which raises suspicions about his past. Those questions unfold slowly as the movie reveals itself as one of Statham’s darkest.
'Wrath of Man'
‘Wrath of Man’ packs a compelling story and brutal action
The movie’s major draw is its non-linear storytelling. It is split into four “chapters” that jump across time and shift points of view. The structure builds a compelling mystery around H and his true motives, as well as the robbers who keep targeting armored trucks. Everything comes together in the final chapter, which brings more bloodshed and an ending that stays with the viewer long after the credits roll.
Wrath of Man also features one of Statham’s more serious performances. Instead of the usual action hero wisecracks, he plays H as a calculating, unpredictable force.
The supporting cast is solid. It includes Holt McCallany (Mindhunter), Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice), Laz Alonso (The Boys) and Andy Garcia (Landman). Perhaps the most surprising addition is Josh Hartnett (Verity), who plays a character with the unfortunate name “Boy Sweat.” Hartnett’s character wasn’t originally meant to be in the movie, which gave him and director Guy Ritchie room to improvise.
“Guy called me the day he started filming … he knew I was in England, and he said, ‘Could you come up to London? I’ve got this part I want you to think about and consider. It’s not in the script, but we’ll make it up as we go along. What do you think?’ I was like, ‘That sounds like a really interesting challenge. I love Guy Ritchie’s movies. I wanna see where this goes, let’s do it.'”

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie reunited thanks to ‘Wrath of Man’
Ritchie’s penchant for bloody violence runs throughout Wrath of Man. The movie also marks a reunion for the director and Statham, who previously worked together on movies including Snatch and Revolver.
The reunion paid off. Audiences flocked to Wrath of Man despite middling reviews, and it earned $108 million at the box office. Statham and Ritchie went on to team up again for Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, which features Statham as a James Bond-style spy trying to retrieve a hi-tech device.
Wrath of Man might be the perfect Jason Statham movie. It has the action his fans crave, a story with some surprising turns and a talented director in Guy Ritchie. Soon, those fans can stream it for free and see for themselves why it stands out.
