«Wile E. Coyote» Receives Rave Reviews from Critics
The hybrid live-action/animated feature “Coyote vs. Acme,” set within the iconic Looney Tunes universe, has received glowing reviews from Western film critics.
The film currently boasts an impressive 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a solid score of 75 out of 100 on Metacritic. Reviewers have lauded the movie as a “hilarious delight,” a “charming homage to the history of animation,” and a “soulful parody of courtroom dramas,” among other accolades.
The narrative follows Wile E. Coyote as he takes legal action against the Acme Corporation. After years of purchasing unreliable gadgets in his futile attempts to capture the Road Runner, the long-suffering coyote decides it is time to seek justice, represented by a down-on-his-luck attorney named Kevin (portrayed by Will Forte).
The cast also features performances by John Cena and Lana Condor. The film was directed by Dave Green (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”), with a screenplay penned by James Gunn (“Superman,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”) and Samy Burch (“May December”).
In Russia, “Coyote vs. Acme” is scheduled for a September 10th release, distributed by Karo Premier.
