Warner Bros. Cancels Kevin Costner’s Upcoming Western

Kevin Costner’s ambitious “Horizon” epic appears to be on the brink of collapse, with reports suggesting that Warner Bros. has no intention of continuing the franchise. The project has been severely compromised by a pair of significant controversies surrounding Costner’s production team.

First, the production is accused of failing to pay $400,000 for period costumes utilized in the film. Simultaneously, a legal battle is underway involving a stunt performer who has alleged that Costner engaged in sexual harassment and exerted undue pressure during the filming of an improvised sexual violence scene.

Despite these mounting obstacles, the director remains determined to persevere with his passion project, recently traveling to Saudi Arabia in a desperate bid to secure alternative funding.

The inaugural “Horizon” chapter debuted at the Cannes Film Festival to a tepid reception. The film ultimately faltered at the global box office, grossing a mere $38 million against a reported production budget of $130 million.
