«Maid 2» Gets Russian Release Date
Distributor Volga has scheduled the Russian theatrical release of “The Maid 2” for December 16, 2027, beating the global premiere by one day.
The sequel to the hit thriller features a stellar ensemble cast including Sydney Sweeney, Kirsten Dunst, Paul Anthony Kelly, Brittany Snow, Stephen Kalin, and Michele Morrone, with Paul Feig returning to the director’s chair.
Based on Freida McFadden’s novel “The Maid’s Secret,” the story follows protagonist Molly (Sweeney) as she accepts a new position serving the enigmatic Mrs. Garrick (Dunst). It is not long before she unravels the chilling secrets held by her employer and her billionaire husband.
The original “The Maid” debuted in December 2025, raking in $400 million at the global box office. The film proved particularly popular with Russian audiences, who contributed approximately 1.4 billion rubles to its total earnings.
