Walton Goggins Attends Fan Festival and Confirms Third Season of “Fallout”

Walton Goggins and Aaron Moten made a surprise appearance at the Fallout: New Vegas “starting location” fan meetup.

At the annual Fallout fan gathering held in Goodsprings, Nevada, attendees were in for an unexpected treat. The series’ lead performers — Walton Goggins (Ghul) and Aaron Moten (Maximus) — joined showrunner Jonathan Nolan onstage despite their visit having gone unannounced. They chatted with fans and confirmed the show has been renewed for a third season.

Variety had reported the renewal back in May, but many fans say hearing the news directly from the cast is far more satisfying than reading a terse press release.

Their appearance became the highlight of the yearly Fallout Fan Celebration in Goodsprings, the so-called “starting location” of Fallout: New Vegas. According to PC Gamer journalist Morgan Park, who attended the event, the 2025 gathering drew noticeably larger crowds than usual.

The local Pioneer Saloon even expanded its visitor area, since the actors and the showrunner not only appeared onstage but also took shifts behind the bar, mixing cocktails inspired by Fallout: New Vegas. The fact that attendance rose despite the stars’ visit being unpublicized only emphasizes the franchise’s growing momentum following Amazon’s successful adaptation.

The second season of Fallout is set to premiere on December 17 on Amazon Prime Video. The new episodes will continue the story from season one and this time relocate to the legendary New Vegas, a setting familiar to players of Obsidian’s classic RPG.
