Blizzard’s WoW: Forever Launches Surprisingly Smoothly
World of Warcraft: Forever launched in all regions on November 5 at 2:00 a.m. Moscow time. Servers have remained stable, with queues of around five to ten minutes, despite payment issues, reports of missing characters, and crashes.
When the servers first went live, users entered queues but saw a temporary unavailable message after logging in. Blizzard acknowledged the issue and quickly resolved it. Many players simply closed the client and joined the queue again. The developers also reported problems processing payments.
After an hour, queues remained at around ten minutes, with no major delays or widespread disconnections reported. Players complained about restrictions on creating characters from certain factions on PvP servers and heavy competition for monsters in starting areas. Some also reported that characters they had created in advance had disappeared.
AMD users reported driver crashes, black screens, and computer restarts. It is not yet clear whether the issue is related to the game.

Several hours in, the launch appears to be the smoothest for a Blizzard game in recent years. Most players can log in and explore the updated Azeroth without difficulty.
