VK Play Adds Steam Integration
We aim to provide users with an exceptionally convenient environment where all their games are always within reach.
VK Play has introduced a feature that merges Steam and VK Play libraries into a single launcher.
Once you link your Steam account, games from both platforms appear together in a unified library. You can browse, install, and launch them directly from VK Play without opening a separate Steam client.
Library synchronization is handled through the Steam section of the launcher. Clicking the “Connect Steam” button opens a sidebar where you complete the authorization. If your Steam privacy settings hide game or library details, the launcher will indicate which options need to be adjusted. Progress is shown on the downloads tab, and your Steam nickname and a platform filter appear alongside it.
We’re building an environment that makes life easier for users by keeping all their games at hand. Merging libraries is a natural progression for our ecosystem. We’re not simply adding the ability to launch titles — we’re laying the groundwork for future enhancements, from consolidated statistics to seamless purchases.
Looking ahead, VK plans to enable purchasing Steam keys directly within VK Play with automatic activation and automatic addition to the launcher’s unified library, and to create dedicated VK Play pages for Steam titles featuring achievements, statistics, and news.
