Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, former major-league player Cole Tucker, have welcomed their second child together. Hudgens shared the news on Saturday, November 29, with an intimate hospital selfie showing her connected to monitors while holding Tucker’s hand.
The High School Musical alum — who has released pop singles such as 2008’s “Sneakernight” and 2006’s “Come Back to Me” — posted the image to Instagram and celebrated the experience of childbirth. “Well…. I did it,” she wrote in the caption. “Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is. Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do.” View the Instagram post.
Tucker, who most recently played for the Los Angeles Angels before retiring in May, appears alongside Hudgens in the photo, offering a private glimpse into the couple’s joyful moment.
Hudgens first revealed she was expecting in July, debuting a maternity shoot that showcased her pregnancy. During the months since, she’s shared playful and creative snapshots of her pregnancy journey — from painting her bump as Mother Earth for Halloween to posting travel photos from a September wedding in Italy.
The couple welcomed their first child together in July 2024 and have generally kept details about their family life out of the public eye. In addition to motherhood, Hudgens recently won season 11 of The Masked Singer, where she competed under the alias “Goldfish.”
Outside of personal news, Hudgens leads the period thriller Quiet Storm, the directorial debut of Anthony Thorne, who also co-stars alongside Mira Sorvino. Production wrapped by July 2025; the film, executive produced and presented by Nick Cassavetes, follows Hudgens’s character, romance novelist Abby Lynche, as she confronts personal revelations while trapped during 1969’s Hurricane Camille amid the era’s social upheaval and the women’s liberation movement.
