Valve Releases New Update for Counter-Strike: Source After 22 Years

The developers have not forgotten about the game.

Valve has recently revisited Counter-Strike: Source. The competitive online shooter from 2004 has received another update.

This is a purely technical update that does not add new content and aims to fix a couple of technical issues.

First, Valve resolved an interface overlap bug in the Create Server dialog box.

Second, the developers fixed a bug that caused incorrect displays of clan tags and in-game achievement notifications.

Earlier this summer, Valve released a more substantial update for Counter-Strike: Source. At that time, the developers not only fixed several technical problems, but also repaired asset loading on the Linux operating system while improving the stability and security of the online shooter.

After many years, Counter-Strike: Source maintains a certain level of popularity. This week, the game’s peak concurrent player count exceeds 3,000 players (it continues to be distributed as a premium project rather than a free-to-play game like Counter-Strike 2).
