Recently, RPGGameplay brought attention back to the TUFU project — a remake of Need for Speed Underground 2. The revamped racer is being rebuilt on the modern Unreal Engine 5.
This effort isn’t a literal, frame-for-frame recreation. For example, the modder plans to add an option to experience NFS Underground 2 in daylight. The latest build will also include a new weather system and improved driving mechanics.
A launcher is expected to be included in the upcoming demo of the remake, making it easy to download and keep the project up to date.
