Moby has once again voiced his sharp disapproval regarding the current state of Donald Trump’s administration.

“The United States is being steered toward disaster by an administration marked by profound incompetence and corruption,” the veteran electronic musician stated in a recent social media update. “We are living through incredibly grim times.”

In a supplementary video, Moby addressed followers outside the U.S., acknowledging the widespread bewilderment regarding the current political landscape.

“Friends abroad keep asking me what on earth is happening in the U.S., and truthfully, none of us really know,” he remarked. “The country is currently being led by an administration defined by its corruption, malevolence, and utter lack of competence. It is a deeply unsettling era for America.”

Moby’s outspoken stance joins a chorus of high-profile artists, including Billie Eilish, Jack White, Eminem, and Bruce Springsteen, who have increasingly leveraged their platforms to challenge Trump and the MAGA movement.

Earlier this year, the artist addressed the public following the killing of Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis. In a January 26 clip, he challenged his audience: “The question isn’t whether we should feel horrified and outraged by what is occurring in the U.S., but rather, what action we are going to take.”

The activist-musician emphasized that exercising the right to protest is essential, particularly when he believes the current administration is actively working to undermine those very constitutional liberties.

Furthermore, Moby urged his supporters to remain politically engaged. “Show up to vote—not only in the major midterms, which are crucial, but in every special election throughout the year,” he advised. “Also, stop funding the predatory corporations that support Trump and ICE. Boycott them.”

His recent critiques arrive amidst significant domestic unrest, including a nearly $1.8 billion fund established by the Department of Justice to compensate Trump allies who claim they were subject to unfair investigations. Meanwhile, global gas prices have surged due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a consequence of U.S.-Israel military actions against Iran initiated in late February without Congressional authorization.

As a long-standing independent artist, Moby has enjoyed significant success, boasting 10 entries on the Billboard 200 and two Billboard Hot 100 hits. His influence is even more pronounced across the Atlantic, where he is widely regarded as a generation-defining figure. In the U.K., he has secured two No. 1 albums—1999’s Play and 2002’s 18—along with 18 top 40 singles and multiple BRIT Award nominations for Best International Male Act.
