Keke Palmer to Host Celebrity Spinoff of ‘The Voice’ Featuring Coach Joe Jonas

NBC is elevating its flagship singing competition to stellar new heights next year.

The network formally announced on Tuesday, August 4, that production is officially underway for The Voice: Celebrity. This fresh spin on the long-running reality powerhouse swaps everyday hopefuls for an all-star lineup of beloved public figures. Slated to premiere in 2027, the highly anticipated special edition will be hosted by entertainment powerhouse Keke Palmer, with pop star Joe Jonas stepping into a coaching role alongside returning veterans Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

Unlike the traditional series—which focuses exclusively on unearthing raw, undiscovered vocalists—this star-studded iteration invites familiar faces from film, television, comedy, athletics, and digital media to battle it out for the franchise’s inaugural celebrity trophy. The complete roster of competing stars will be revealed closer to the premiere date.

Palmer’s appointment as host marks a historic milestone for the franchise, as she becomes the very first person other than Carson Daly to helm a season of The Voice. While Daly will continue fronting the show’s landmark 30th season this autumn, he remains deeply involved behind the scenes as an executive producer for the celebrity spinoff. Palmer is no stranger to the NBC family, having won over audiences as the host of Password. The Emmy Award winner—who also commanded the stage hosting Billboard Women in Music 2026—is fresh off critical acclaim for her cinematic turns in One of Them Days and Good Fortune, following the 2025 release of her latest studio album, Just Keke.

Meanwhile, Jonas is poised to make his coaching debut. Though navigating the iconic red swivel chairs is entirely new territory for him, his pop music credentials speak for themselves. As an integral member of the Jonas Brothers, he has commanded the Billboard Hot 100 with massive anthems like the chart-topping smash “Sucker.” Furthermore, his tenure fronting the dance-pop band DNCE yielded the infectious breakout hit “Cake by the Ocean,” which climbed to No. 9. He will share the coaching stage with Queen Latifah and Riley Green, both of whom are double-duty veterans coaching on the primary series’ upcoming 30th season.

To give audiences an unprecedented, behind-the-curtain look at the competition, The Voice: Celebrity will incorporate several dynamic new formats. Viewers can look forward to a “Voice Boot Camp” segment tracking the stars as they prep for Blind Auditions, alongside a dedicated “VIP Room” designed to capture authentic, real-time reactions from competitors watching one another perform. Additionally, an exclusive “Workroom” feature will showcase intensive rehearsals and tactical strategizing ahead of the high-stakes Battle rounds.
