Bunnie Xo Vows to ‘Never’ Marry Again Following Jelly Roll Split, Recalling ‘Betrayal Trauma’ from Affair

Following her recent separation from Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo has opened up candidly about her perspective on matrimony, trust, and betrayal during a fresh installment of her Dumb Blonde podcast, which featured special guest Denise Richards.

The episode, released Monday (Aug. 3), largely centered on the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and the immense trials she has faced. Richards discussed the collapse of her marriage to first husband Charlie Sheen alongside her ongoing, high-stakes legal battles with estranged second husband Aaron Phypers. According to Richards, Phypers subjected her to severe emotional, physical, and financial distress following their 2018 nuptials, admitting that navigating the protracted divorce proceedings has left her entirely drained. (Phypers has consistently refuted these accusations during court testimony.)

“I am never walking down the aisle again,” Richards shared with Bunnie, who immediately echoed the sentiment, responding with conviction: “No, absolutely not me either. I simply cannot do it ever again.”

The host also addressed the intense media scrutiny and rampant speculation that invariably surround high-profile splits—particularly her own highly publicized division from the celebrated musician. “The only two individuals who truly understand the inner dynamics of a relationship or a dissolution are the people standing inside of it,” Bunnie remarked. “Every alternative narrative cooked up by outsiders is entirely fabricated. People really need to stop consuming and believing every headline they read; it simply does not reflect reality.”

Shortly after the public disclosure, Bunnie released a dedicated podcast episode to bring her supporters up to speed. She disclosed that a heated argument on Mother’s Day sparked a moment of intense frustration where she playfully challenged Jelly to file divorce paperwork, never anticipating that he would actually follow through.

“Was this division mutual? Absolutely not… I spoke purely out of anger and overwhelming irritation,” she confessed at the time. “However, was it a necessary catalyst to serve as our ultimate wake-up call? Without a shadow of a doubt.”

During that same—subsequently deleted—episode, Bunnie revealed plans for her and Jelly to continue pursuing IVF treatments with the intention of raising a child together as amicable, platonic co-parents. She stressed that they will remain foundational “best friends” for life, despite the fact that the former couple has since unfollowed one another on Instagram. Both parties have firmly reiterated that infidelity had zero bearing on their recent split, which was reportedly finalized in July. Reflecting on that dark chapter during her conversation with Richards, Bunnie offered a deeply personal assessment. “When you endure the aftermath of infidelity, the physical act itself isn’t what ultimately destroys you,” she explained. “It is the endless web of deception. It feels like severe whiplash, and the deceit feels profoundly toxic. True betrayal trauma quite literally rewires your neurological pathways, making it nearly impossible to trust others while leaving you with a profound sense of self-disgust because you were always the last to realize the truth. It is a completely distinct variety of agony.”

These sentiments echo the vulnerable disclosures found in Bunnie’s 2026 memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, wherein she detailed how Jelly’s clandestine relationship spanned ten months and involved one of his former partners. “I refuse to pretend we simply snapped back to business as usual,” she wrote. “It required years of intentional effort to push that betrayal aside. It took years before I could genuinely believe this man loved me and felt confident that I wasn’t merely disposable.”
