Ubisoft to change the series in Assassin’s Creed Hexe – rumors from Tom Henderson
Assassin’s Creed Hexe is poised to deliver a transformative experience for the franchise. Ubisoft previously teased that Hexe would be one of the most atypical entries to date—darker, more intimate, and fundamentally distinct from previous titles. Now, fresh unofficial details have shed light on its ambitious direction.
According to industry insider Tom Henderson, the development team is pursuing a complete overhaul of the combat mechanics. The focus has shifted toward fluid acrobatics and unconventional mobility; the studio reportedly enlisted specialized stunt performers for motion capture sessions to achieve this. This suggests a more visceral, perhaps even haunting, style of animation and engagement.
Furthermore, Henderson claims that early iterations of the project included a cameo by the legendary Ezio Auditore. The veteran assassin was reportedly intended to mentor the protagonist mid-way through the narrative, though it remains unclear if this concept has been retained in the current build.
The project is said to be generating significant internal buzz within Ubisoft Montreal. While a potential release is whispered for 2027, these reports currently remain within the realm of speculation.
