Ubisoft Joins Xbox Initiative to Convert Physical Game Copies to Digital

Microsoft has begun gradually adding Ubisoft games to the Xbox Disc-to-Digital program, just a day after reports emerged that the publisher’s projects were not yet supported by the service.

The Disc-to-Digital program allows owners of physical Xbox game copies to access their digital versions and benefit from Microsoft’s digital ecosystem, including the Xbox Play Anywhere feature, while keeping the original disc.

Until recently, Ubisoft games displayed an incompatibility notification with the program. However, the situation has begun to change. Social media users report that some of the publisher’s projects are already working successfully with Disc-to-Digital. Windows Central journalist Jez Corden also wrote about this, noting that he has information regarding the further expansion of the list of supported publishers.
