Ubisoft confirms Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake won’t be shown at The Game Awards
Insiders had previously warned not to expect the game at The Game Awards, yet maintained that its release is slated for January.
Ubisoft confirmed via the Prince of Persia account on X that the Sands of Time remake will not be showcased at the upcoming The Game Awards.
We don’t want to disappoint anyone, but Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will not be presented at this year’s TGA.
According to journalist and reliable insider Tom Henderson, the remake’s marketing push will begin in December, with the release targeted for January. He also noted that Ubisoft is unlikely to opt for a surprise launch the way some other publishers do.
Ubisoft itself plans to release the title within its fiscal 2026 year, which concludes in March.
