Two Finalists Named for the Role of James Bond
According to World of Reel, the search for the next James Bond has been narrowed to three actors. Jacob Elordi and Jack Lowden are reported to be among the finalists, while the identity of the third contender remains under wraps. The outlet says an official announcement could come in late October or early November 2026. Amazon MGM, however, has not yet confirmed the shortlist or when an announcement might be made.
Elordi, known for “Saltburn,” “Frankenstein” and the series “Euphoria,” is considered one of Amazon MGM’s favorites.
Another likely candidate is Scottish actor Jack Lowden, best known for the series “Slow Horses.”
The new Bond film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, with a screenplay by Steven Knight, the creator of “Peaky Blinders.” Amy Pascal and David Heyman are producing.
