“Carrie” Renewed for Season 2
Amazon has ordered a second season of Mike Flanagan’s Carrie. The horror series, based on Stephen King’s novel, will continue on Prime Video after a strong debut for its first season, Variety reports.
Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White. Flanagan serves as writer and showrunner, and Stephen King is an executive producer.
The first season reimagines the story of a high school girl who endures bullying and cruelty from her classmates while discovering her telekinetic powers. Flanagan has said he would like to expand Carrie’s story into a three-season saga that explores the world beyond the original novel.
