More than 59,000 fans participated in Anime Corner’s annual poll to determine the finest anime of the year.

The results for the 2025 Anime of the Year awards have been officially unveiled by the Anime Corner portal. This year’s rankings were decided by a total of 59,053 individual voters.

Claiming the prestigious “Anime of the Year” title is Takopi’s Original Sin. The series secured its victory by a razor-thin margin of just 0.09% over The Summer Hikaru Died, with the two projects garnering 7.98% and 7.89% of the votes, respectively. Rounding out the top three is the second season of The Apothecary Diaries, which captured 7.21% of the audience’s support.
