A demo of the mystery detective game Quiet Express: Cabin 909 is now available on Steam. Players must find a nonexistent cabin and prevent a train disaster.

Quiet Express: Cabin 909 is a mystery game with time loops. The train is doomed to crash in seven days, and the player has to stop it.

The player boards the transnational train Quiet Express, which is due to reach its final station in a week. On the seventh day, a crash kills all passengers and crew members. The hero returns to the moment of departure and relives the same seven days while uncovering the mystery of the disaster.

The main goal is to find “Cabin 909,” which the crew and passengers insist does not exist. Along the way, players meet other characters, complete their requests and explore train cars inhabited by humans, beastfolk, giants and homunculi.

The layout of the cars changes depending on chance and the player’s decisions. Players can choose between passenger, dining and freight cars, search for items, solve puzzles and open secret rooms.

The demo lasts about 30 minutes and offers several ways to prevent the crash. The game is developed by the Japanese studio STUDIO909. The creators name Blue Prince and Road 96 among their sources of inspiration.

Quiet Express: Cabin 909 will release on PC in 2027.
