The gaming landscape is already densely populated with titles inspired by The Walking Dead—most of which draw heavily from the iconic AMC series based on Robert Kirkman’s seminal comic books. Yet, there is always room for another entry, especially one that shifts the perspective toward the fast-paced, side-scrolling action of a classic brawler. That is precisely the direction being taken by the newly unveiled The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, which looks like a visceral, high-energy take on the zombie apocalypse.
Published by Trailmark Games and crafted by the team at Odaclick Game Studio—the same developers behind The Karate Kid: Street Rumble—this title is being billed as a “brutal arcade brawler.” Players will have the opportunity to step into the boots of legendary survivors like Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne to wage war against the undead and the living alike. The gameplay promises to be intense, featuring complex combos, unique weapon proficiencies, and bone-crushing finishers. Beyond hand-to-hand combat, players can expect a variety of firearms and the ability to weaponize their surroundings.
Narratively, the game anchors itself in the tension-filled “All Out War” story arc. The stages will transport players to iconic locations such as Alexandria, the Hilltop, and the Sanctuary. Along the way, you’ll encounter formidable antagonists, including Negan and Simon, as well as notorious walkers like the Well Walker. The game is designed for replayability, offering various difficulty settings and escalating combat challenges to keep the experience fresh.
While an official release date has yet to be finalized, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is confirmed to be coming soon to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
