Mechabellum Adds Planet Conquest Mode With Co-op Support

The developers have prepared both a new mode and a free trial version of the game.

In late September, studio Game River and Dreamhaven announced the release of the major 2.0 update for the auto-battler Mechabellum. The project has been on the market for several years, and the developers noticed that the community wanted a time-limit-free mode with high replayability and the ability to play cooperatively with friends.

With the release of 2.0, the creators of Mechabellum introduced a mode called Star Expedition, which can be played solo or in co-op:

In this new game mode, you will embark on a journey to conquer 9 planets, facing challenges in battles filled with random factors, fighting against builds from real players around the world, and unlocking Star Expedition rewards that can radically change your subsequent runs—all within an engaging strategic gameplay framework.

When playing Star Expedition in the 2-player co-op mode, each participant commands their own army on a shared battlefield, coordinating troop placement tactics and jointly fighting the enemy.

The developers also introduced a “Free Edition” trial version, which unlocks most of the content and allows progress to be carried over to the full version.
