The ‘Stranger Things’ finale will run for two hours

The Duffer brothers, Ross and Matt, told Variety in an in-depth interview that the fifth season’s finale of Stranger Things will run roughly two hours. They also revealed there will be an 18-month time jump between the end of season four and the start of season five, and that the core cast will all be in Hawkins.

The show’s creators added they had hoped to mount a full theatrical release for the final episode, but Netflix declined. The first part of the new season launches on November 26, the second on December 25, and the concluding episodes arrive over the New Year holiday.
