The Rings of Power Seasons 1 and 2 Coming to 4K Blu-ray in November
The Lord of the Rings is returning to physical media this fall. Fans get another chance to take a piece of Middle-earth home as the franchise prepares for its next major chapter.
Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment have announced that the first two seasons of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will each get their own DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD releases in November. The sets will include behind-the-scenes bonus content. Collectors will have another option later in the year.

In December, both seasons will also come out as Amazon-exclusive 4K Ultra HD gift sets. They will feature Steelbook packaging and collectible art cards. The timing matters because season 3 of The Rings of Power arrives on Prime Video just days after the standard physical editions reach shelves.
Season 1 debuted on Prime Video in September 2022, and season 2 followed in August 2024. The series has since become one of the streaming service’s biggest shows, with more than 185 million viewers worldwide to date.
What’s in store for The Rings of Power season 3?
Season 3 picks up as Middle-earth heads deeper into its war against Sauron. The Dark Lord is recruiting men who will eventually become the Nazgûl. He has not yet forged the One Ring, so the series still has plenty of major Tolkien mythology left to explore.
One storyline involves Elrond and his long-lost twin brother, Elros. Robert Aramayo, who plays Elrond, will also play Elros in a flashback. It shows the moment the brothers choose different paths. Elrond embraces immortality, while Elros chooses mortality and becomes the founder of Númenor.
That choice will hit Elrond hard when he travels to Númenor in the present day. There he faces the kingdom his brother spent his mortal life building. The season will also finally bring Rivendell into the story.
