Jenna Ortega Wants to Step Away From TV Series After Wednesday and Explains Why
Jenna Ortega said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that she plans to step away from TV series for a while after she finishes work on Wednesday:
“I honestly haven’t talked much about joining franchises. My roles will find me. I think after ‘Wednesday’ I probably won’t be on television for a while. I devoted many years to it. I went from one series to another as a kid, and now I want to leave room for something new.”
Neither Ortega’s departure from Wednesday nor an end to the series after season 3 has been announced, so it is unclear how much longer the Addams family story will continue. Filming on the third season has wrapped, and the show is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2027. The exact release date has not been announced.
