New Edition of Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game in Development, With Cylons Returning
Publisher Ghost Galaxy has announced an agreement with Universal and Fantasy Flight Games to release a new edition of Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game, the tabletop adaptation of the Battlestar Galactica TV series. The updated version will bring players back to the Cylon conflict.
Ghost Galaxy said the deal covers a new edition of the classic game.

Game designer Corey Konieczka created the original Battlestar Galactica board game, and Fantasy Flight Games (FFG) released it in 2008. It received positive reviews from players and others, and it holds a 7.7 out of 10 rating on BoardGameGeek.
The game also received three expansions over the years, and it taught a generation of players to ask: “Are you a Cylon?”
Ghost Galaxy is now working on the updated version of the classic game. It plans to launch the game through crowdfunding in early 2027, and the Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game campaign page should appear in the coming weeks.

Christian T. Petersen is the CEO of Ghost Galaxy and the former CEO and founder of Fantasy Flight Games. He is glad to return to the characters and story of Battlestar Galactica.
His team is working to make the new edition improve on the game’s design.
