The Outer Worlds 2 is approaching release, and Obsidian Entertainment has revealed a new launch trailer that highlights life within the Arcadia system — and asks the pivotal question: will you become a hero, abandon your values, or chart an entirely different course?
No matter how a player chooses to act, the road to their objective unfolds as its own story. As an agent of the Earth Directorate, you’ll investigate mysterious rifts that have appeared throughout the universe. That investigation pits you against three factions — Auntie’s Choice, the Order of the Ascendancy, and the Protectorate — each pursuing its own aims and each with reasons to distrust the others.
Players decide who to ally with and who to antagonize. Missions can be tackled through stealth, open confrontation, diplomacy, or any combination of these approaches. All of this is supported by a redesigned skill system, more than 90 perks, new companions, and a broad selection of weaponry.
The Outer Worlds 2 is slated to launch on October 29, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, and will be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
