The joint contest held by Film.ru and the Moscow Film School has concluded
The collaborative competition hosted by Film.ru and the Moscow Film School has officially drawn to a close.
Participants competed for a variety of prestigious prizes, including enrollment in the “Practical Film Criticism” course, professional publication on our website, invitations to exclusive screenings, a personalized essay critique by Vladimir Lyashchenko, and official Moscow Film School merchandise.
We received over 100 entries from participants who championed overlooked cinematic gems they believe deserve greater recognition. The submissions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of experts, including Moscow Film School instructors Vladimir Lyashchenko and Vsevolod Korshunov, Film.ru Editor-in-Chief Nastasya Gorbachevskaya, and Film.ru Special Projects Editor Naya Guseva.
The top honors were awarded to Sergey Razumovsky for his video essay on Bakur Bakuradze’s “Lermontov” (1st place), Andrey Ryzhenko for his analysis of “We and Our Mountains” (2nd place), and Alina Nikiforova for her exploration of “Red Rooms” (3rd place).
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and invite you to enjoy their insightful video essays below.
