We have officially finalized our latest build this week, allowing us to finally unveil the deployment schedule. We deeply appreciate your continued patience throughout this process.

The upcoming update is slated for release on Thursday, September 3rd, at 6:00 AM UTC.

Reflecting on the past two months of non-stop development, it has been an incredibly rigorous journey. Even as we prepare to showcase our progress, an innate pursuit of perfection leaves me pondering what more could have been refined. Nevertheless, as you explore the comprehensive patch notes, you will discover substantial advancements across numerous core facets of the game. While perfection remains elusive, our commitment and dedication to this project remain absolute.

A primary objective for this milestone was re-architecting the fundamental mechanics that uphold the simulation. We have significantly enhanced contextual autonomy, allowing Zois to react intelligently to their surroundings. Vital routines such as sleep and nourishment now resolve far more organically. Furthermore, social dynamics at dining areas have evolved—Zois will naturally choose to share tables with close companions. (If they initially maintain a noticeable distance, give them time; their bonds are simply still forming.) In addition, vehicle owners will now autonomously embark on trips, getting behind the wheel to travel toward their designated destinations.

Regrettably, one promised feature—the comprehensive venue dynamic—could not be fully integrated into this specific build. The complete operational loop (patrons entering, ordering, dining, settling the bill, and departing, alongside behavioral rules preventing proprietors from occupying dining spaces meant for guests) is entering its prototype phase next week. Because time constraints prevented its timely inclusion, our team is actively pushing to deliver this functionality as quickly as possible through an upcoming hotfix.

Moments like these often mirror the quiet regrets of everyday life—the lingering feeling after an exam when you realize you misanswered a familiar question, or the unsaid sentiments that arise on the drive home after bidding farewell to a lifelong friend.

Even when pouring everything into an endeavor, subtle gaps often linger. Developing inZOI brings a very similar sensation; there are early oversights we are only now rectifying, treating them as long-standing commitments we are finally bringing to fruition.
