One Year of “Brainstorm with Kjun”

Hello everyone,

As South Korea enjoys a peaceful long holiday weekend, I find myself reflecting on a significant milestone: next week marks exactly one year since the launch of “brainstorm_with_kjun.” The memory of drafting my very first post remains remarkably clear. Though a year has flown by, that initial interaction stands out because it was my first real opportunity to engage directly with this community and forge a genuine connection with all of you.

Originally, someone else was slated to helm this channel, but unforeseen circumstances required me to step in at a moment’s notice. Looking back, that unexpected twist granted me the privilege of hearing your perspectives firsthand, sparking an incredible journey of discovery within this industry. It truly feels like everything happens for a reason.

I can still picture that first day vividly. Parked in my car during a work trip in Incheon, I frantically tried to answer incoming Discord alerts one by one. By my seventh reply, however, the sheer volume made it clear that my ambitious goal to answer every single message was simply unsustainable. That realization led me to adopt the twice-weekly posting schedule I maintain to this day.

The insights and feedback you have shared over the past year have been invaluable, actively helping to shape the development of inZOI. We have methodically tackled the commitments I made twelve months ago, navigating inevitable technical hurdles and pivoting our approach whenever necessary to reach this point.

Our latest video showcases several major features currently in the pipeline. Following a recent closed playtest with a select group of players and modders, we refined these systems based on their constructive feedback. Notably, we re-architected the framework to support mod creation via MCP. I am genuinely excited about this direction and look forward to sharing a deeper dive with you soon.

Today marks Chuseok, one of our most cherished traditional holidays in Korea. You might recall my explanation of it from last year: Chuseok translates to “autumn evening” and celebrates the night of the brightest harvest moon. Unfortunately, heavy cloud cover tonight might keep us from catching a glimpse of it.
