Actor Mason Thames, best known for The Black Phone and the live‑action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, has achieved a rare box‑office milestone in the United States.
This year, three films featuring Thames have each reached number one in the U.S. box office: How to Train Your Dragon, The Black Phone 2, and the romantic drama Sorry for You (scheduled to open in Russia on December 11). The last actor to pull off a similar sweep was Jim Carrey in 1994 with Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber.
Thames celebrated his 18th birthday in July. His next projects include the Dragon sequel and a film titled The Shitheads.
