The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Update Fixes The Game’s Most Annoying Feature

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales

Team Asano, the creative minds behind the Octopath Traveler series, recently released their HD-2D action RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. While the title has been largely well-received, players have reached a near-unanimous consensus regarding one point of contention: Faie, the companion fairy, is excessively talkative. Thankfully, a new update released today offers a welcome solution, allowing players to mute her commentary entirely.

It is clear that The Adventures of Elliot draws heavy inspiration from the Zelda formula, with Faie filling a role reminiscent of Navi. However, even those who found Navi’s interruptions in Ocarina of Time grating have noted that Faie’s dialogue is even more persistent. Although Team Asano originally provided settings to decrease the frequency of her chatter, the latest 1.1.0 update takes things a step further by granting the option to silence her voice completely.

The patch notes for this update are concise. Beyond the addition of the “Mute Faie” toggle, the developers have refined tutorial pacing, resolved performance dips on specific PC configurations linked to the companion character, and squashed several minor bugs. The update is live now on all platforms.
