During a recent conversation with Polygon, the duo pondered the future of the franchise. Having already expanded into virtual reality, tabletop gaming, and even seasonal advent calendars, the pair jokingly entertained the idea of their next big venture: a feature film.

Alex Horne: “I’d imagine we’ll eventually make a movie, don’t you think, Greg?”

Greg Davies: “Yes, I expect we will.”

Horne: “Would we star in it, or should we bring in actors to portray us?”

Davies: “It would have to be a deeply serious origin story—the Batman Begins of the Taskmaster universe. I’d be fully committed to that.”

Horne: “In that case, could we get Owen Cooper to play my younger self?”

Davies: “A bold casting choice, but I’m on board.”

Should a Social Network-style prestige drama ever come to fruition, however, the biggest hurdle will undoubtedly be finding someone capable of capturing the sheer presence of Greg Davies.
