“Tarkov Moment”: Escape from Tarkov Update Breaks Steam Launcher — EFT: Arena Won’t Launch
Players are taking matters into their own hands to resolve ongoing technical hurdles.
Following the latest patches for Escape from Tarkov and its competitive spin-off, EFT: Arena, Steam users have encountered a frustrating roadblock.
Both the core EFT experience and the Arena shooter utilize a unified launcher. However, a recent update appears to have compromised the update delivery system, preventing “Arena” from launching correctly when accessed through the Steam-integrated version of the client.
Resourceful members of the Escape from Tarkov community have identified a workaround: to properly trigger the EFT: Arena update, players must navigate to the game’s installation folder and manually execute the launcher from there.
