Star Wars: Galactic Racer Multiplayer to Feature Racing, Betting, and Legendary Rewards
Star Wars: Galactic Racer will feature five-race multiplayer tours that pit players against 11 competitors for upgrades, parts, and a spot in finale races set on Derven Akos or Tatooine.
In an overview with GameSpot, Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster detailed the structure of the multiplayer and Podracer tours. Mirroring the format of the story mode, participants advance through five sequential races, accumulating upgrades and rewards before competing in the final showdown.
Players select characters with distinct traits alongside one of three vehicle classes. Before a race begins, drivers can accept contracts that award bonus parts and credits. Players can also wager on their own performance to earn extra payouts.
Crossing the finish line in the top three yields a legendary reward, with final placement dictating the rarity of earned components. Racers can also target and tag specific opponents mid-race to issue direct challenges.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches on October 6 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
