The Sony and Marvel comic book adaptation, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” has officially climbed to the number two spot on the all-time North American box office charts.

With a total haul of $858.4 million, the film has narrowly surpassed “Avengers: Endgame” ($858.3 million). The top position remains held by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which maintains a lead with $936.6 million.

On the global stage, “Brand New Day” has already eclipsed “The Force Awakens,” accumulating $2.22 billion in revenue. Analysts anticipate Peter Parker’s latest adventure will soon break into the top three, potentially overtaking James Cameron’s “Titanic” ($2.26 billion) and the Chinese animated hit “Ne Zha” ($2.27 billion). The final “Avengers” installment continues to hold the second position worldwide, while “Avatar” remains the highest-grossing film in history.
