Sony Reveals Review Date for Marvel’s Wolverine
Sony and Insomniac Games will allow reviews for Marvel’s Wolverine to go live nearly a week ahead of its PlayStation 5 launch, with initial scores set to appear on September 10.
Selected journalists and creators have already received early review copies. The review embargo will lift on September 10 at 6:00 p.m. Moscow time, leading up to the game’s scheduled release on September 15, 2026.
Media representatives and Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson confirmed the early code distribution. The developers explained that they wanted to give reviewers sufficient time to finish the entire game thoroughly and at a steady pace before publishing their coverage.

Such an early embargo lift is traditionally viewed as a sign of publisher confidence in the title’s quality. Sony previously used a similar strategy for God of War Ragnarök and other well-received first-party releases.
