Sony Reveals Another DualSense Controller Design As Fans Again Demand Games

PlayStation continues to release new versions of the DualSense, while game announcements from Sony’s internal studios have been noticeably scarcer lately, leading players to joke that there are already more controllers for the PS5 than games.

Sony is not slowing down the pace when it comes to releasing new DualSense variants. In recent days, two controllers themed after Marvel’s Wolverine went on sale, a GTA VI-style version is launching soon, and PlayStation has now announced a collaboration with Lisa that will result in yet another special PS5 gamepad.

The community reacted quickly to the situation. Players noted that Sony regularly unveils new controllers, whereas announcements for new PlayStation Studios projects happen much less frequently.

“The PS5 already has more controllers than games,” jokes one player. Another claims that “you can probably buy ten times more DualSense controllers for the PS5 than games.” Other comments note that the console already has “more limited edition controllers than games.”

These are intentionally exaggerated jokes, but reactions like these have popped up frequently. Players are using the new hardware announcements to draw attention to the wait for major projects from Sony’s internal studios. At the same time, many consider the DualSense controllers themselves striking, especially the Marvel’s Wolverine-themed versions and other limited editions.
