The PlayStation: The Concert music program has faltered. Sony has cancelled the majority of U.S. dates — only five of the 16 shows scheduled through the end of January 2026 will take place.
Sony has not provided an official comment. Industry insiders say the cutbacks were prompted by poor ticket sales and limited audience interest.
As reported by VGC, fans learned about the cancellations by chance — tickets disappeared from Ticketmaster without advance notice. Among the few dates still listed is the November 11 performance in New Jersey, but a large portion of seats there remains unsold. It appears organisers have reduced the schedule to concentrate audiences at the remaining shows.
The tour was meant to be a celebration of Sony game soundtracks — from The Last of Us to God of War. Yet some attendees criticised the program for highlighting newer titles while neglecting classics from the 1990s and 2000s. Several commentators argued the concept would have felt more cohesive had it been focused on a single franchise, similar to concerts for Baldur’s Gate 3 or Final Fantasy.
The dates scheduled for 2026 remain unchanged for now.
