Against the Storm City-Building Simulator to Get a Board Game Based on Return of the Blightstorm

A crowdfunding campaign for Against the Storm: The Board Game, a tabletop adaptation of the roguelite city-builder Against the Storm, is scheduled to launch on the Gamefound platform in May 2027.

Hooded Horse, Eremite Games, and Mindclash Games announced that the roguelite city-builder Against the Storm is being adapted into a tabletop format.

Against the Storm: The Board Game will combine worker placement, resource management, city-building, exploration, and adventure mechanics.

In this cooperative asymmetric board game, players will develop settlements in a world under constant threat from apocalyptic storms.

Featuring variable starting conditions, a high degree of randomness in resource distribution, and a deep economic system that rewards adaptability and long-term planning, players will lead and unite seven unique species, each with distinct strengths and needs.

Against the Storm: The Board Game can be played as standalone sessions where no two playthroughs are alike, or through a campaign mode. In campaign mode, players will uncover the secrets of the Blightstorm from session to session while searching for a way to stop it permanently.
