Sonic Rumble Hits 15 Million Players as Developers Prepare Major Updates
Sonic Rumble has surpassed 15 million players. To celebrate, the developers announced a set of improvements and a limited-time in-game event.
To mark the milestone, the studio will host the 15 Million Rumbler Milestone Mission event. It runs from November 18 to December 17, 2025. Players can earn rewards such as 300 Red Star Rings, Skill Stars, Tune Up Wrenches, and other items. The developers emphasized that the event is intended to drive progression through gameplay rather than via direct purchases.
In addition to the timed event, the team outlined several planned changes based on player feedback:
- improved availability of items;
- adjustments to the in-game store;
- updates to the interface and item descriptions.
The aim of these changes is to clarify game systems and remove confusion between purchases and match outcomes. No exact rollout dates were provided, but the updates are expected to appear in upcoming short- and mid-term patches.
The developers also clarified that pay-to-win concerns have been overstated: subscriptions and bonuses only affect the amount of post-match rewards, not ring collection during matches or the match result.
Long-term plans for content and balance adjustments have not yet been disclosed. Work on further updates is ongoing, and more details will be shared later.
