Details about the blue hedgehog’s next big-screen adventure are gradually coming into focus.
Previously, well-known insider Daniel Richtman reported that the fourth Sonic film might carry the subtitle “Sonic CD,” which would suggest a storyline involving time travel — a concept first introduced in the 1993 game of the same name.
Those rumours prompted fans to hope for the arrival of Silver the Hedgehog — a character tied to time travel and known for his telekinetic powers. However, Silver originally debuted in 2006’s Sonic the Hedgehog, not in Sonic CD, and Richtman has since confirmed the character will not appear in the upcoming movie.
There are no official plot details yet, so any reports should be treated with caution. The film is currently scheduled to premiere on March 19, 2027.
