What else is new in the Fortnite Chapter 7 mini-season?
Because battles take place on a more compact island layout, lobby sizes have been adjusted to a maximum of 80 players per match instead of the traditional 100.
The most lucrative addition this season is the Pirate Shop Token. Exceptionally lucky players who manage to unearth this rare item from chests will unlock full, unrestricted access to the in-game shop for two weeks, allowing them to claim any cosmetic rewards entirely free of charge.
Content will roll out progressively on a weekly schedule: Lil Uzi Vert joins the fray on Nov. 7, followed by Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto on Nov. 14, and Fortnite veteran Oscar on Nov. 21. These successive updates will introduce additional weapons, sprites, and gameplay elements.
To keep momentum high, specific days of the week will feature special gameplay modifiers. “Mastery Mondays” return to double your sprite XP and dust yields, while Saturdays are designated “Captain’s Days,” increasing the presence of the season’s iconic captains.
