Cher’s Son Elijah Blue Allman Arrested Following Altercation at New Hampshire Prep School

Law enforcement officials confirmed that Elijah Blue Allman, the son of music icon Cher, was taken into custody on Friday, February 27. The arrest followed reports of disruptive and aggressive behavior at a prestigious private high school in New Hampshire—an institution with which he has no known affiliation.

The 49-year-old Allman, whose father was the late rock legend Gregg Allman, was processed at the Merrimack County Jail. He faces several misdemeanor charges, including two counts of simple assault, criminal threatening, and criminal trespassing. Additionally, he was cited for disorderly conduct, which is classified as a violation under state law.

Around 7:00 p.m. that evening, police in Concord responded to reports that Allman was causing a disturbance in the dining hall of St. Paul’s School. Following the formal charges, authorities released him on bail as the case moves through the judicial system.

Insiders told TMZ that Allman’s presence at the school remains a mystery, as he primarily resides in Southern California. Court records do not currently list legal representation for him.

Representatives for Cher were not immediately available for comment, and administration at St. Paul’s School has declined to speak on the matter. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

This latest legal complication follows a series of personal struggles for Allman. In June 2025, he was hospitalized for an overdose after authorities responded to reports of erratic behavior at his home. This health crisis occurred just two months after his wife, Marieangela King, filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage.

Cher famously sought a legal conservatorship for her son in late 2023, arguing that he was “substantially unable to manage his own financial resources” due to persistent mental health and substance abuse challenges. She also alleged that King was obstructing his recovery efforts. However, the legal bid was ultimately dismissed by a judge in late 2024.
